In her tenure with the team, Huddleston's squads went 145-62-12, a .662 winning percentage. She guided the team to a the NJCAA National Championship in 2003. That same year, she was named the NSCAA West Region and NJCAA Coach of the Year.

In 2006, Dixie State made the transition to an NCAA Division II school and just two years later, in 2009, Huddleston led her team to a Pacific West Conference Championship and a berth into the NCAA Tournament.

During her career, she coached 17 players that were named to All-America teams, including eight first team honors and a National Player of the Year in 2003. Academically her teams have consistently had a GPA above 3.25 and historically have led the Dixie State athletic department in team GPA. In 2009-10, Mikala Wilkes was named the PacWest Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Linda is originally from Provo, Utah, where she graduated from Provo High School. In high school, she was a member of the basketball and track teams.
After high school she stayed in Utah County and attended Brigham Young University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. While at BYU, Linda competed as a sprinter on the Cougars' track team and played field hockey.
She earned a master's degree in Physical Education from Northern Arizona University before moving to St. George in 1993.
