Auditions for the 2025-26 Utah Tech Blaze Dance Team - 2025 USA Collegiate D-I Hip Hop National Champions
Friday-Saturday, April 25-26, 2025
Auditions will consist of three short technical routines consisting of a jazz, hip hop and lyrical. Along with across the floor combinations for tricks, and technique, as well as a game day section. All material will be taught at workshop.
**Please wear comfortable dance attire with a comfortable jazz shoe, half sole, and or other appropriate footwear for the hip hop and trick sections.
Required skills include: Kicks, leaps (switch, grande' jetes, back, side, and tilt), Turns (triple or quadruple pirouette, fouette and al seconde turns). Must be able to do right and left aerial. A front handspring, a headspring and kippup to standing (as well as other variations), and a rubberband.
We are looking for advanced level technique, ability, and stage presence. Dancer must be prepared to perform combination incorporating contemporary/jazz/hip-hop styles demonstrating consistency, control and entertainment value.
-Time commitment, approx 8-10 hrs per week of practice and additional performances on weekends at games.
-Must be full-time student with 12 semester hours at Utah Tech University and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
-All members must be willing to be positive role models, participate in school and community service, and be involved in a regular fitness program.

Audition Registration: 3 p.m. Tryout application must be printed, signed, and brought to tryouts, along with an updated head shot and $75 tryout fee.
Tryout Clinic: 3 p.m.-to-10 p.m.
Saturday, April 26, 2025
Tryouts: 8 a.m.-12 noon
