Corey was born October 24, 1974 in Seattle, Washington. Dillon attended Franklin High School and Federal Way High School in Federal Way. In football, he was an All-State selection and the All-Metro Player of the Year. He was also an excellent baseball outfielder, and garnered All-Metro honors, and was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 1993 Major League Baseball Draft.
Dillon played football at Dixie College in 1995 and was chosen JC Offensive Back of the Year by College Sports magazine after rushing 279 times for 1899 yards and 20 TDs. During the 1996 season, while playing for the University of Washington, he scored 5 touchdowns in a 41-21 victory over UCLA and in the Holiday Bowl vs. Colorado, Dillon rushed for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns giving him a total of 23 touchdowns for the season.
Dillon was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. During his first season, Dillon set the NFL rookie record for yards in a single game (246) in a 41-14 win over the Tennessee Titans. During Dillon’s 10-year NFL career with the Bengals and the New England Patriots, he rushed for 11,241 yards, tallied 1,913 receiving yards and scored 89 touchdowns. Along the way, Dillon also made the Pro Bowl 3 times (1999-2001) and set an NFL record for most yards rushed in one game (278 yards) against the Denver Broncos on October 22, 2000, and helped the Patriots win Super Bowl XXXIX with 75 rushing yards and a touchdown, while also catching 3 passes for 31 yards, giving him 106 total yards in the game.
