(St. George, Utah - Aug. 18, 2026) - The Trailblazer men's basketball program and head coach
Jon Judkins has announced the signing of Barton Community College transfer guard Aris Rodriguez to a financial aid agreement on Tuesday.
A native of Reading, Pa., Rodriguez spent the last two seasons at Barton Community College in Kansas competing in Division I of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference in the NJCCA.
Coming off leading the Cougars & the KJCCC in scoring in 2025-26, Rodriguez averaged 19.4 points per game playing in all 34 contests earning NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention All-American honors.
Rodriguez also led the KJCCC in points (658), field goals made (225) & field goal attempts (493) and also led the Cougars in three-pointers made (55), three-pointers attempted (195), ranked second in minutes per game (30.3) & free throw attempts (211) and third in free throws made (153). He also finished fourth in the KJCCC in minutes played (1,032).
Reaching double figures in 32 contests, Rodriguez notched 20 or more points in 12 contests with a season-high 39 points in a 16-point win at Garden City CC & also tallied 38 points in a 96-95 win over Cloud County CC in the first round of the Region VI Plains District Playoffs.
Leading the Cougars with 67 steals, Rodriguez also grabbed 112 rebounds & dished out 51 assists corralling a season-high nine rebounds in the NJCAA Division I Plains District Tournament Championship against Butler CC & dished out a season-best six assists in a win over Cowley County CC.
As a freshman in 2024-25, Rodriguez ranked third on the team with 12.0 points per game playing in all 35 contests & scored a season-high 21 points at Seward County CC and also scored in double figures in 22 other contests. He ranked seventh in the KJCCC in minutes played (1,023) and averaged 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.1 assists per game.
Rodriguez was a 2023 graduate of Reading High School before heading on to prep school at Spire Academy in Ohio.
Rodriguez is the 10th addition to the 2026-27 roster and third from the junior college ranks joining Snow College transfers
