(St. George, Utah - June 8, 2026) - The Trailblazer men's basketball program and head coach
Jon Judkins has announced the signing of Texas prep standout guard Christian Gibson to a financial aid agreement on Monday.
A native of Houston, Texas, Gibson is a four-star prospect by both On3 and 247 Sports.
Arriving in St. George after being ranked No. 109 nationally by On3 and No. 126 by 247 Sports in the 2026 recruiting class, Gibson split time as a senior in 2025-26 between North Shore High School in Houston & Tennessee Collegiate Academy in Memphis.
Ranked as the eighth-best player from the state of Texas by 247 Sports, Gibson played in three games for the Spartans in the EYBL Scholastic League before returning to Texas to play in 12 contests at North Shore averaging 20.0 points & 4.9 rebounds for the Mustangs earning First Team All-District accolades and Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region honors.
Gibson attended Mayde Creek High School in Houston as a sophomore & junior averaging 25.7 points & 4.8 rebounds per game in 2023-24 over 30 contests for the Rams.
He followed that up as a junior in 29 games averaging 22.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 2024-25.
Gibson got his start as a prep at Spring Woods High School in 2022-23 averaging 16.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest as a freshman.
