(St. George, Utah - May 4, 2026) - The Trailblazer men's basketball program and head coach Jon Judkins has announced the signing of Stonehill College transfer guard Rex Sunderland to a financial aid agreement on Monday.

A native of Kaysville, Utah, Sunderland, who stands 6'5, 200 pounds, is entering his fifth season of college basketball after spending last season at Stonehill College and his first three seasons at New Hampshire.

Appearing in all 33 games for the Skyhawks in 2025-26, Sunderland started 32 games and averaged 4.7 points, 3.5 rebounds per game and a team-leading 3.2 assists per game.

Sunderland scored a season-high 13 points and grabbed a season-leading eight rebounds on Nov. 26 against UMass Lowell.

With 16 contests that saw him dish out four or more assists, Sunderland had a season-high seven assists in a 81-71 win over Le Moyne College in the NEC Tournament on March 4.

A three-year member of the Wildcats of New Hampshire from 2022-23 through 2024-25, Sunderland played in 58 career games and made 20 career starts.

A team captain for the Wildcats in 2024-25, Sunderland played in 10 games that campaign dishing out a career-high eight assists in the season opener against Massachusetts.

As a sophomore in 2023-24, Sunderland helped the Wildcats to a 16-15 overall record playing in all 31 games making 15 starts and finished third on the team in assists (39), blocks (6) and steals (35).

Sunderland began his career in 2022-23 appearing in 17 games as the Wildcats finished third in the America East Conference regular season standings with a 9-7 record.

A 2022 graduate of Davis High School in Kaysville, Sunderland was the Davis High School Male Athlete of the Year as a senior, earned a pair of 6A All-State First Team selections in 2021 & 2022 and helped lead the Darts to three Regional Championships and the 6A State Championship in 2021.
