(St. George, Utah - May 4, 2026) - The Trailblazer men's basketball program and head coach
Jon Judkins has announced the signing of Utah prep standout guard Luke West to a financial aid agreement on Monday.
West, who will take a two-year mission before returning to Utah Tech for the 2028-29 season, is a native of South Jordan, Utah and comes to St. George after a standout high school career at Bingham High School.
The 2026 Utah 6A Player of the Year, West averaged 21.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game in 27 games for the Miners as a senior.
West scored in double figures in all 27 games this season, including a 42-point & 11-rebound performance in a 6A quarterfinal win over Mountain Ridge on Feb. 25.
He followed that up the next day in the 6A semifinals with a 32-point & 15-rebound outing in a 69-65 win over American Fork before tallying 14 points in the 6A title game against Westlake on Feb. 27.
West was also earned Class 6A All-State honors as sophomore and junior being tabbed to the Second and Third Team, respectively.
The all-time leading scorer in Bingham High School history with 1,511 points, the 6'2 guard made 171 career three-pointers to go along with 397 rebounds, 241 assists, 131 steals and 35 blocks in 87 career games.
