Box Score (Surprise, Az - Mar. 11, 2026) – Utah Tech women's tennis secures its third sweep of the season, beating Ottawa University (AZ) on Tuesday afternoon at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex. 

The Trailblazers (6-10, 0-0 WAC) came out strong in doubles play, sweeping the three matches handily. Freshmen duo Cameron Hendrix and Ilse Fernanda Elechiguerra Ortega were the highlight of the doubles matches where they came out victorious 6-1 at Doubles No. 3. The pair teamed up for their third doubles win together this season and snapped a three match losing skid in the process. 

UT took the momentum gained from the doubles matches and continued their strong play by taking all six singles matches without dropping a set. The win today also snapped a three match losing streak, which the Trailblazers have now had on two separate occasions this season.

Sophomore Maya Inouye had a dominant showing today at Singles No. 3, shutting out her opponent in both sets. Maya recorded her seventh singles win on the season, continuing her impressive second season as a Trailblazer.

Utah Tech's Nutsa Tsintsadze, Cameron Hendrix, and Nicole Kells were also able to make quick work of their counterparts at Singles No's. 4,5, and 6, dropping just one set each. For Nicole, this was her second straight singles victory, both coming at the No. 6 slot. Tsintsadze and Hendrix both snapped short singles losing streaks with the wins this afternoon.
