Utah Tech track and field hosts its third annual Utah Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 21-22, at Greater Zion Stadium in St. George, Utah. The Trailblazers' outdoor season-opening meet will feature six women's teams and eight men's teams.

FAN INFORMATION
Admission to Greater Zion Stadium for the Utah Tech Invitational is free of charge. Fans are asked to enter the venue through the west gates and park in Lot Y, directly west of Greater Zion Stadium across University Avenue (700 East) next to the Atwood Innovation Plaza. Gates will open one hour before the first event each day. A viewing area for field events will be located southwest of the track on the Lower Trailblazer Field.
SENIOR DAY
Utah Tech will honor its nine seniors at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, before the running events begin. UT's seniors include

Lexi Larsen,
Emma Lloyd,
Brittany Kuhn Randall,
Kinley Spaulding and
Addi Wyatt. These seniors have combined for 12 Utah Tech records, 15 all-WAC selections and 24 academic all-WAC nods during their time in St. George.
2024 UTAH TECH INVITATIONAL
Utah Tech totaled 26 top-eight finishes and three program records at last season's UT Invite. The Trailblazer men totaled four top-eight marks and two program records.
2024 OUTDOOR SEASON RECAP
UT competed in six meets last outdoor season, setting nine program records. At the 2024 WAC Outdoor Championships, six Trailblazers earned all-conference honors. Junior
Megan Jenkins was named First Team All-WAC for finishing third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.85.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah Tech track & field finished seventh with 19 points, both Division I-era bests, at the 2025 WAC Indoor Championships at The Podium in Spokane, Washington. Utah Tech totaled 13 second-team All-WAC honorees at this year's indoor championships. Tied for seventh with Southern Utah entering the last event of the championships, the Trailblazers put up a program-best 3:49.57 in the 4x400-meter relay to take fifth place and earn four points. Brittany Kuhn ran the relay. Kuhn was UT's highest individual scorer at the championships, placing fourth in the 60-meter hurdles to score five points. Kuhn's time of 8.57 is a program record, surpassing sophomore
Ashlyn Parish's time of 8.58 at last season's Ron Mann Classic. Senior
Kylie Bishop scored the first point for Utah Tech on Saturday, tying for seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.61 meters (5-3.25). In the 400 meters, two Trailblazers scored for UT as Christiansen and Jenkins finished sixth at 55.55 and eighth at 56.32, respectively. Christiansen reclaimed the program record in the 400 meters from Jenkins, who ran a 56.05 on Friday. Senior
Lexi Larsen finished eighth in the mile with a time of 5:00.56 to score a point for Utah Tech. UT's first points of the championships came in the distance medley relay on Friday night. Redshirt sophomore

Whitney Christiansen finished fifth with a time of 12:07.02 to score four points for Utah Tech. The Trailblazers' time is also a new program record, besting a 12:19.17 DMR run at the 2024 Idaho State-hosted Mountain State Games.
HEAD COACH DERRICK ATKINS
Head coach
Derrick Atkins is in his fifth season at the helm of Utah Tech track & field in 2025.
With his guidance, Utah Tech has set school records in 19 indoor events and 18 outdoor events, with 17 of those records achieved during the 2024 seasons. The Trailblazer set nine program records during the 2025 indoor season.
UT has also excelled academically under Atkins with 10 Trailblazers earning academic all-WAC honors during the 2024 indoor season and 25 Trailblazers earning the same honor during the 2024 outdoor season.

Utah Tech will next head to Sin City for the UNLV Rebel ELITE on Saturday, April 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
