(Fayetteville, AR - May 30, 2026) - Utah Tech track & field was represented by Averie Perriton at the 2026 NCAA West First Rounds Saturday and competed in the 3000 meter steeplechase. 

Averie Perriton qualified for the NCAA West Region First Rounds with her steeplechase time of 10:22.33 at the APU Franson Last Chance back on May 7. 

Averie was in the third heat today and finished with a time of 10:59.05. Based on the results of the other heats, Averie's postseason run comes to an end. 

Perriton will go down in UT Athletics history as the first athlete to represent the Trailblazers in an NCAA Division 1 Championship.
