Utah Tech women's tennis returns to action this weekend at the 2024 WAC Women's Tennis Invitational.

Hosted at the John T. L. Jones Tennis Center in Abilene, Texas, the invite will be the Trailblazers' first chance to face conference opponents this academic year. 

UT will begin competition on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 a.m. (MT) with two singles matches. No. 11 seed sophomore Ana Gutierrez Sampere will face No. 6 Dania Deaifi of Grand Canyon and No. 10 seed Mariana Zurita will take on No. 7 Masha Vrsalovic of Abilene Christian. 

Following their singles matches, Gutierrez Sampere and Zurita will team up for the doubles quarterfinals against the No. 3 pair from Seattle U, consisting of Lamija Avdic and Liliya Dimova, at 11 a.m.

The tournament winners will advance to the ITA Conference Masters on Nov. 7-10 in Rome, Georgia.
