Dixie State came away with a 20
th-place showing at the Grand Canyon Spring Invitational, which was played on Monday and Tuesday at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix.

Abby Livingston (75-77-76) and sophomore
Tayllore Ward (82-75-71) led the Trailblazers' effort as the duo wound up in a nine-way tie for 46
th at plus-12 228. Livingston opened the event with five birdies on her way to a 3-over 75, and finished with a team-high seven birdies overall.

Meanwhile Ward rebounded from an opening 10-over 82 with a 75 of her own in round two in a loop that featured two birdies and DSU's lone team eagle for the event. The sophomore then followed that up with her first collegiate under par round, a 1-under 71 that included three birdies and 13 pars, which helped her vault 31 spots up the leaderboard.

Dixie State will stay close to home as the Trailblazers will tee it up at the Southern Utah/Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invite, which will be played at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George on March 10-12.
