Trailblazer tennis stopped by UNLV

Box Score Dixie State tennis closed out their weekend in Las Vegas with a 0-7 loss to UNLV on Sunday afternoon.

The Trailblazers were unable to take any doubles set wins on the day. The Rebels won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles 6-3 and 6-1 respectively. Ya-Chi Hsu and Alexandra Hildreth retired in the No. 2 spot.

Singles play saw a lot of good experience for some freshmen on the team. Freshman Jane Dorny and Cami Oyama competed in the No. 3 doubles spot, their first doubles match together. Oyama also competed in her first singles match as a Trailblazer, but was unable to get a win.

The Trailblazers fought hard through singles play but were unable to find any singles points today. After a long weekend of play the Trailblazers fought through some minor injuries and fatigue in a tough match with the Rebels.

Hsu competed well in her first set of singles play in the No. 2 spot, losing narrowly 6-4, but some lingering injuries forced her to retire.

The Trailblazers next match will be March 4 against Arizona Christian at 11 a.m.
