Women’s Tennis falls at Concordia Friday, 8-1

The Dixie State women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the 2016-17 season on Friday, falling 8-1 to Concordia in Irvine, California.

Kaylee Milligan (Silver City, N.M./Silver HS) picked up the lone win of the day for the Trailblazers, earning a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at No. 6 singles. Lacey Hancock (St. George, Utah/Pine View HS) battled at No. 1 singles, but fell 2-6, 6-4, 2-6. Hancock and Maria Kana Goldsmith (Honolulu, Hawaii/Myron B. Thompson Academy) also battled at No. 1 doubles, but dropped an 8-5 decision.

Dixie State closes its three-match trip on Sunday with a 10 a.m. Pacific Time (11 a.m. MT) matchup at Cal State LA.
