Women’s Tennis falls to BYU-H, match vs. NDNU postponed

The Dixie State women's tennis team fell, 9-0, to No. 2 BYU-Hawaii on Monday in Sunnyvale, California, while its match vs. Notre Dame de Namur has been postponed until Wednesday due to inclement weather.

The Red Storm (4-9, 0-1 PacWest) came closest to a point at No. 5 singles as Samantha Yacano (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West HS) fell, 6-2, 6-1, to Jade Griffin. Karolin Kukaras (Heidelberg, Germany/Internationale Gesamtschule Heidelberg) battled at No. 1 singles, but fell 6-2, 6-0, while Lacey Hancock (St. George, Utah/Pine View HS) dropped the No. 2 singles contest by the same score.

The Seasiders swept through doubles play, winning each of the three matchups by a score of 8-0.

Dixie State will return to San Rafael, California, on Tuesday to resume its match vs. Dominican at 10 a.m. Mountain Time.
