Women’s Tennis drops home match to CMU

The Dixie State women's tennis team fell, 7-2, to Colorado Mesa on Saturday in its first home match of the season.

The Red Storm (3-6) fell in each of three double matches and earned two victories in singles play.

Sophomore Karolin Kukaras (Heidelberg, Germany/Internationale Gesamtschule Heidelberg) teamed up with freshman Lacey Hancock (St. George, Utah/Pine View HS) at No. 1 doubles and came close to a win, but fell 8-6.

Hancock played to a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles, while Kukaras earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.

The Storm return to action on Wednesday at 3 p.m., hosting Southern Utah in its second and final home match of the season.
