Women's Tennis ends California trip with loss at Sonoma State

The Dixie State women's tennis team wrapped up its stretch of four matches in three days with a 9-0 loss at Sonoma State on Monday afternoon.

The Red Storm (3-5) fell in each matchup in Rohnert Park, as freshman Lacey Hancock (St. George, Utah/Pine View HS) came closest to a win at No. 2 singles. Hancock fell 6-3, 6-3, while junior Laura Hartle (Salt Lake City, Utah/East HS) dropped her match at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1.

Hancock and freshman Jenna Fosdick (Draper, Utah/Corner Canyon HS) nearly claimed the first victory of the day for DSU at No. 2 doubles, but fell 9-7.

Dixie State will return to action in St. George, hosting Colorado Mesa on February 20 and Southern Utah on February 24.
