After consecutive match losses to start off their Bay Area road trip, the Dixie State women's tennis team swept past Mills College and Notre Dame de Namur by identical 9-0 scores on Friday to improve its spring record to 3-5. The Red Storm will wrap up its trip to Northern California on Sunday when they face Dominican at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

In the first match on Friday, Dixie State only dropped four overall games in the entire match.
Ashley Anderson (Sandy, UT/Alta High School ) and
Sierra Smith (Denton, TX/John H Guyer) at No. 2 and
Stormy Dvorak (Laguna Beach, CA/Park City) and
Chanel Saxton (Logan, UT/Mountain Crest) at No. 3 knocked off their opponents, 8-0. In singles play, DSU took every set either by 6-0 or 6-1 scores. Kukaras at No. 1, Anderson at No. 5 and Saxton at No. 6 each won flawlessly – 6-0, 6-0.

Against a short-handed NDNU squad, Dixie State took a 3-0 lead before the match even started due to defaults.
Karolin Kukaras (Heidelberg, Germany) and
Laura Hartle (Salt Lake City, UT/East) only had to play doubles, winning 8-0 at No. 1. Dvorak and Smith matched the effort at No. 2.

With two players enjoying the singles matches off, four DSU players used the opportunity to play well and complete the sweep.
