Women's Tennis Fall Victim to Colorado Mesa

ST. GEORGE, UT (March 7, 2014)—The Dixie State Women's Tennis Team suffered a non-conference loss at home on Friday, losing to Colorado Mesa 7-2 at the Bell Tennis Courts.

"The team played a tough hard fought match but were not able to pull it out, said head coach Eric Pelton. "We had some chances in most all of the matches but could not close them out!"

Stormy Dvorak (Laguna Beach, CA/Park City) played some impressive tennis, she came out in her doubles with her partner Summer Child (Wesley Chapel, FL/Saddlebrook Tennis Academy) and played aggressive and controlled the net to win 8-4 and get the only doubles win for DSU. Dvorak then came out and played an amazing singles match at #1 singles battling to 6-4 6-2 win to capture the lone singles point on the day.

The Red Storm will play Division I Weber State tomorrow at 1 p.m.
