SAINT GEORGE, UT- For the second consecutive day the Red Storm picked up a victory on the tennis courts. Today, Dixie State defeated #50 Mesa State College 5-4.
"It was a huge step forward today for Dixie State tennis today!! In some tight matches the ladies were able to pull out some big points that gave the win," said Red Storm head coach

Similar to their match with Academy of Art yesterday, Dixie State split the singles matches with the Mavericks. Winning for DSC was
Ashley Lafeen (Murray. UT/Murray HS) 6-2, 6-0 over Victoria Sargent, Courtney Kazerian defeated Amver Armanderez 6-1, 6-0 and the final singles winner was Laurer Tarver 6-0, 7-6 (10) over
Cyndle Curfman.
In doubles, the pair of
Alicia Holm (Henderson, NV/Green Valley) and Kazerian defeated Kate Lowder and Sargent 8-6. The final win in doubles that gave the Red Storm the victory was Tarver and
Adrienne Davis (Salt Lake City, UT/Olympus)' 9-8 (4) victory over Armanderez and Curfman.
Dixie State is off for the week and will take a 9 day road trip to the San Francisco Bay area over spring break. Please check
