(Arlington, Texas - March 30, 2026) - Sophomore outfielder
Kennedy Embrey earned WAC Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, the conference office announced.
Putting together a strong week from the plate, Embrey hit .700 from the plate going 7-for-10 in a series win at home over Southern Utah.
Notching multiple hits in all three games, the Farmington, Utah native tallied two hits in game one and three of the series and a career-high three hits in a 13-5 win in game two of the series smacking her first home run of the season with a grand slam and drove in a career-best five RBIs.
On the season, Embrey is hitting .319 in 27 games making 15 starts and is fifth on the team with 13 runs scored. She has also driven in seven RBIs, drawn eight walks and stolen three bases.
The Trailblazers are back in action this weekend at WAC leader California Baptist (27-12, 5-1 WAC) on Friday and Saturday at John C. Funk Stadium.
