Mille Roesaeg set a Utah Tech track & field program record in the long jump on the first day of competition at the Weber State Indoor Invitational on Friday evening at the Stromberg Center Indoor Track. Two Trailblazers tallied top-eight finishes in UT's first two events of the season.
Roesaeg placed sixth in the long jump with her program-record mark of 5.40 meters (17-8.5). It was a personal best mark for Roesaeg in her first event at her first meet as a Trailblazer after transferring from Bemidji State.
Senior
Mackenzie Bradach set a PR in the long jump at 5.20 meters (17-0.75) to take ninth. That mark ranks second all-time in Utah Tech history. Fellow senior
Megan Jenkins set a PR in her first collegiate long jump at 4.91 meters (16-1.25) to finish 14th. That mark ranks 10th all-time in UT history.
In the high jump, senior
Lainee Leavitt placed seventh, clearing 1.65 meters (5-5). That mark ties for first all-time in Trailblazer history.
