Utah Tech senior
Jenna Anderson fired a final round 3-under 69 to earn medalist honors and helped lead Utah Tech to a runner-up finish at the Utah Fall Intercollegiate, hosted by Weber State, on Tuesday afternoon at Wolf Creek Golf Club in Eden.
Â
Anderson (74-69) battled the windy conditions on Tuesday to pencil in five birdies on her way to being the only player in the 33-player field to finish in red numbers at minus-1 213, two shots clear of Weber State's Jade Gruher (75-70-215; +1).
Â
The senior became just the fourth different player in program history to win a collegiate golf tournament, and is the first tourney winner in Utah Tech's brief NCAA Division I era. In addition, Anderson is the first Trailblazer to win medalist honors in a tournament since former standout Katie Ford collected two event victories during the 2017-18 spring season.Â
