The Utah Tech Trailblazer football program is set to open its 2025 fall camp this Wednesday at Greater Zion Stadium in preparation for its sixth NCAA Division I FCS season.

Under the direction of second-year head coach Lance Anderson (Idaho State, 1997), Utah Tech will hold 25 practices, along with two scrimmages, over the next five weeks in advance of the Trailblazers' 20th NCAA-era season opener at home vs. Big Sky Conference power UC Davis on Saturday, August 30.

All practice sessions are closed to the public, and media members are asked to contact Utah Tech Associate AD for Media Relations Steve Johnson to request practice access and interview availability.

The 2025 Roster
Utah Tech welcomes back 41 players who saw playing time a season ago, including 13 starters (O-11, D-2), along with six specialists.

The Trailblazers return four quarterbacks who were part of the program last season, three of whom recorded starts last season, including redshirt junior Reggie Graff (6-1, 200; St. George, Utah), who threw for 1,467 on 56.9 percent passing and 10 touchdowns in 12 games under center. Graff was also Utah Tech's leading rusher, gaining 442 yards on the ground with four more touchdowns.

Redshirt senior Deacon Hill (6-4, 258; Santa Barbara, Calif.) is also back in the quarterback room, as is redshirt freshman Bronson Barben (6-4, 215; St. George, Utah). Hill threw for 412 yards on 48 percent passing and two touchdowns in four games in an injury-shortened season last year, while Barben connected on nearly 51 percent of his passes for 574 yards and four scores in four games during his collegiate debut season.

In addition, redshirt sophomore Skyler Cassell (6-0, 185; Yakima, Wash.) is back after being part of the practice squad last season.

Utah Tech also returns all five primary starters on the offensive line, which is anchored by redshirt seniors Nolan Reynolds (6-5, 295; Riverside, Calif.), Bryce Crowley (6-2, 305; Cedar City, Utah) and Chase Richards (6-2, 300; Templeton, Calif.), along with redshirt junior Rambo Mageo (6-5, 315; Laie, Hawai'i) and sophomore Trey Price (6-4, 300; Tooele, Utah).

At the skill positions, Utah Tech welcomes back four running backs who all saw time last season, including redshirt seniors Chris Street (5-9, 210; Eastvale, Calif./237 rush yds/1 TD/18 rec./145 yds/2 TD) and Bretton Stone (5-11, 195; St. George, Utah/125 rush yds/2 TD/14 rec./155 yds), as well as junior Kona Crowell (6-0, 200; St. George, Utah/70 rush yds/1 TD/12 rec./114 yds) and redshirt freshman Asa Chatman (5-11, 190; Lake Elsinore, Calif./36 rush yds/5 rec./13 yds).

Redshirt senior receiver Shamar Garrett (5-9, 175; Livermore, Calif.) is back after he hauled in a team-high 37 passes last season for 250 yards and one touchdown, and tallied 579 all-purpose yards overall. Garrett is one of four receivers who tallied at least 10 receptions last year, along with redshirt junior tight end Eric Olsen (6-5, 230; St. George, Utah/18 rec./259 yds/1 TD), and wideouts Josh Rillos (So., 6-0, 185; Golden, Colo./13 rec./129 yds) and Chernet Estes (R-Jr., 6-0, 194; Austin, Texas/10 rec./126 yds).

On defense, redshirt junior defensive lineman Laytan Tanuvasa (6-1, 312; Portland, Ore./24 tackles/2.0 TFLs/1.5 sacks) and redshirt sophomore defensive back Quincy Lejay (6-0, 195; Eastvale, Calif./60 tackles/5 PBUs) are the two lone regular starters back for the unit. Meanwhile, redshirt junior DL Fasitootai Sagapolu (6-2, 305; St. George, Utah/2023 - 30 tackles) is back after missing the entire 2024 season due to injury.

Other key returnees who saw significant time on the defensive side of the ball in 2024 are linemen Uili Angilau (Jr., 6-2, 270; South Jordan, Utah/14 tackles/3.0 TFLs/2.0 sacks), Cody Carlson (R-Sr., 6-2, 282; Lake Oswego, Ore./29 tackles) and Micah Vuki (R-Sr., 6-3, 265; Layton, Utah/13 tackles/1.5 TFLs), linebackers Will Alovao (R-So., 6-3, 230; Kapolei, Hawai'i/30 tackles/5.0 TFLs/1.0 sack) and Jace Sweeten (So., 6-2, 205; St. George, Utah/18 tackles/1.0 TFL), and defensive backs Jeremiah Jimoh (R-Fr., 6-1, 175; Salt Lake City, Utah/15 tackles), River Moore (R-Fr., 5-11, 185; Saratoga Springs, Utah/), Kyle Parker (R-Fr., 5-11, 165; Los Angeles, Calif./8 tackles) and Brady Sorenson (R-Fr., 6-2, 180; Boulder City, Nev./4 tackles/2 INTs).
