(ST. GEORGE - May 1, 2025) - Utah Tech women's tennis freshman
Maya Inouye was selected to the All-WAC Second Team, the Western Athletic Conference announced on Thursday afternoon. Coaches and staff from all member teams voted on the conference's 2024-25 postseason awards.
Inouye led the Trailblazers with 10 singles wins, logging a 10-6 record during the dual season. With marks of 1-1 at No. 3 singles, 4-2 at No. 4 singles and 5-3 at No. 5 singles, Inouye's 10 singles victories set the UT Division I-era record for single-season wins and are the most victories by a Trailblazer since Yolena Carlon in 2018.
Inouye added five wins in doubles play, helping Utah Tech to its highest team win total, 7-13, in its brief D-I history.Â
Inouye is the first Trailblazer to earn all-conference honors since Juliana Honczaruk &
Rachel Mellor were selected as Second Team All-WAC Doubles in the 2020-21 season.Â
