Utah Tech combined to break three more school records during day two of the 2025 Trailblazer Invitational on Thursday at the HPC Pool.

Through six events over the first two days of competition, the Trailblazers are in fifth place in the team competition with 102 points. San Diego State stands atop the eight-team leaderboard with 318 points, 29 points clear of second place UC San Diego (289).
Sophomore
Gabby Henry had her hand in all three school records on Thursday, two of which came in the 50-yard freestyle, where she became the first Trailblazer in program history to swim a sub-23 second time in that event with a morning preliminary mark of 22.99.

Henry then came back in "A" final during the evening session and bettered that by .01 seconds with a fifth-place time of 22.98.

Earlier in the evening session, Utah Tech opened with an eighth-place showing in the 200 free relay with a school-record time of 1:33.25.Â

Nia Turagavou, who herself posted the 10
th-fastest 50 time in program history in the morning prelims (23.62), got the Blazers off to a fast start.
Sorina Rom and
Reagan Patterson kept the blazing pace going ahead of Henry, who swam strong anchor leg to cinch away the new school standard by 0.12 seconds.

In the 500 free,
Cera Mallory placed seventh in the "A" final with a season-best time of 5:00.74, while
Coco Riding touched the wall second in the "D" final with a season-low 5:09.11.Â

In addition,
Mary Sims Cross placed sixth in the 200 IM "B" final with a season-best time of 2:05.09 (#7 all-time at Utah Tech), and
Kate Reichner posted a season PR at 2:07.85 to finish third in the "D" final.

Day three of the Trailblazer Invitational will begin on Friday morning at 10 a.m., with several preliminary heat events, followed by the evening session at 5 p.m.
