Utah Tech posted four top-10 program all-time marks on the opening night of the 2026 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday night at the PSJA Natatorium in Pharr, Texas.

The Trailblazers opened the meet with a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:42.45, which was fifth-fastest relay time in that event in school history.Â

Mary Sims Cross got Utah Tech off to a great start with a 50 backstroke leg time of 25.80, which was also the fifth-fastest 50 time in program history, while
Jenna Tracy,
Madeleine McGaughy and
Gabby Henry closed out the Blazers' first race of the weekend.

Utah Tech followed that up with a fifth place showing in the 800 freestyle relay as the team of
Cera Mallory,
Coco Riding,
Alyssa Gordon and
Natalia Zmierczak clocked the second-fastest relay time in school history with a 7:23.93.

Mallory got the Trailblazers off to a fast start as she clocked the third-fastest 200 free time in program history with an opening 1:49.77. Meanwhile, the team just missed breaking the school record in that event by just 0.49 of one second. Â

Day two of the MPSF Championships will get underway at 9 a.m. (MT), with the preliminary heats in the 500-yard free. The final races for the second day will follow at 5 p.m. (MT).
