Utah Tech women's soccer heads on the road for two road matches following a weather cancellation of its Sunday night match versus Northern Arizona. The Trailblazers take on North Dakota State on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. MT and St. Thomas on Monday morning at 10 a.m. MT.
UTAH TECH 2021 SEASON QUICK STATS: Â
• Utah Tech had 23 goals on the season from 174 shots with 81 shots on frame.
• Utah Tech averaged 8.7 shots per game and notched 19 total assists.
• The Trailblazers had 137 saves on the season and allowed 45 goals
• Utah Tech ended the 2021 season with a 6-13-1 record overall and a 2-7-1 record in WAC action.

POSTSEASON TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITY: As of Summer 2022 the WAC Board of Directors voted as of the 2022-23 season to allow newcomers to the WAC, Tarleton State and Utah Tech, to compete for all conference tournaments. Utah Tech University is in it's third year of a four year transitionary period into Division I and the Western Athletic Conference.
TRAILBLAZERS PICKED 10TH IN THE WAC: Utah Tech was voted to finish 9th in the WAC men's soccer preseason coaches' poll released on August 17th. Seattle U was picked first with eight first place votes. The Trailblazers did not have any members selected to the 2022 Preseason All-WAC team.
2022 ROSTER BREAKDOWN: The Trailblazers return 15 players from the 2021 team this season, welcome in 14 freshmen and six transfers. Among the returners are the teams 2021 leader in saves, senior goalkeeper

FIRST GOAL: Utah Tech senior
Lauren Buxton notched the team's first goal of the year in the season opener against Colorado State on August 18. Buxtons goal was her third of her career. Â
KNOW YOUR FOE: Utah Tech heads out on the road for the second and third matches of their three-game road stint to face North Dakota State and St. Thomas in Minnesota.Â
In its last meeting with North Dakota State, the Trailblazers won 3-0 with goals from
Kelsey Cook,
Kalea Woodyatt and
Madison Henderson. Woodyatt's goal in that match was her second of the six she scored in her freshman season. Additionally, these team's last meeting was one of the Trailblazers two shutouts earned in the 2021 season, spearheaded by
Kayla Thompson in goal.Â
The Trailblazers have never faced St. Thomas in the program's history making Monday's match the first time the two schools have faced off. St. Thomas comes into the season having gone 4-12-1 in the 2021 season.
