Biography

At Utah Tech: 2022 (GRADUATE) – Appeared in 18 matches and made 18 starts  … played 1273 minutes ... registered three goals, 20 shots and 11 shots on goal ... played the fifth most minutes of any Trailblazer. Buxton finished her career in second in career matches played and third in matches started in school history.

At Utah Tech: 2021 (SENIOR) – Appeared in 19 matches and made 17 starts … played 1432 minutes, the third most of any Trailblazer ... registered two assists, three shots and two shots on goal.

At Utah Tech: 2020 (JUNIOR) – Appeared in 14 matches and racked up 965 minutes …attempted 6 shots (1SOG) … 

At Utah Tech: 2019 (SOPHOMORE) – Appeared in 14 matches with nine starts … scored one goal … attempted nine shots (5 SOG) … RMAC Academic Honor Roll selection.
 
2018 (FRESHMAN): Started in all 19 matches and collected one goal and two assists … posted her first collegiate point with an assist at Cal State San Marcos (9/1) and dished out another helper vs. Adams State (10/12) … netted her first career goal vs. Colorado Mesa (10/25) … was credited with eight shot attempts, four on frame.
 
At Desert Mountain High School: Was a four-year varsity letter winner in soccer who served as team captain as a junior and senior … was named district rookie of the year and was an all-state and two-time all-district selection … was a member of the National Honor Society and was state DECA finalist … also earned scholarship student-athlete honors.
 
Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah ... parents are Cortney and Dawn Buxton … played club soccer for the Blackhawks and Sereno SC … also recruited by Portland State, Grambling, Cal State Bakersfield, West Alabama, Northern Iowa, Southern Utah, Chicago State, Fort Hays State, California Baptist, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Old Dominion, among others … currently majoring in accounting.
 
Why I chose Utah Tech: “I chose Utah Tech because I fell in love with the campus as soon as I toured. It met all of my wants in a college and the athletic program seemed truly inspiring and competitive.”
