First year Utah Tech head women's basketball coach
Adam Wardenburg announced on Thursday the signing of former Valdosta State guard
Kendall Dykstra to a financial aid agreement ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Dykstra played one season for the Blazers' and has three years of eligibility remaining.
"We are very excited about Kendall and everything that she will bring to the program," said Coach Wardenburg. "She works extremely hard on the court and is an elite teammate. She brings some versatility and length to our team, in addition to her shooting. We can't wait to watch Kendall on the court in a Trailblazer uniform!"
Dykstra (5-10; Rocklin, Calif.) started 11 of the 18 games she played in an injury-plagued collegiate debut season at Valdosta State in 2025-26, and averaged 3.3 points on 30 percent shooting and 2.3 per outing.
She found the scoring column in 10 of those 18 appearances, highlighted by a career-high 14-point performance on 6-of-7 from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers and three rebounds in a 107-55 home rout of Fort Lauderdale (12/29/25).
A native of Rocklin, Calif., Dykstra was a four-year letter winner in basketball at Whitney High School, where she averaged 10.8 points in 120 career games over those four seasons.
She averaged double figures in points in three of those four campaigns overall, including a 13.9 ppg clip and 5.1 rebounds a game as a senior in 2024-25.
Dykstra, who scored over 1,000 career points while at WHS, helped lead the Wildcats to a pair of section championships and was a first team all-Sierra Foothill League selection.
