(Arlington, Texas - May 15, 2025) - Utah Tech track & field qualified three Trailblazers for finals in two events on the opening night of the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday at Maverick Stadium. After the first day of competition, Utah Tech is tied for eighth in team scoring.
The Trailblazers opened the championships in the 1,500 meters preliminaries. Senior
Lexi Larsen won her heat with a time of 4:36.98 to qualify for Saturday's final.
In the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles, UT qualified two runners for Saturday's final. Junior
Megan Jenkins came in sixth at 1:02.79, and freshman
Ilenia DeHart took eighth at 1:03.09.
Utah Tech also competed in the 200 meters prelims and the 10,000 meters during the first day of championship action. In the 10K, freshman
Isabela Coffman finished ninth at 38:56.86 and sophomore
Charly Murie placed 10th at 39:38.14.
