Utah Tech wrapped up the 2024-25 season with a seventh place finish at the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, which completed play on Wednesday at the Wigwam Resort Gold Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

The Trailblazers (302-298-307) managed to get off to a solid start on their final loop, going out in plus-1 145, and had moved up to fifth place on the team leaderboard. However Utah Tech struggled on the back nine, combining for an 18-over 162 to close with a three-day team total of plus-43 907.

Tarleton State (294-283-299) held on late to claim the conference crown at plus-12 876, three shots clear of runner-up Abilene Christian (302-282-295-879; +15), while California Baptist (295-304-292-891; +27) held off Seattle U (304-299-289-892; +28) to place third. 
 
Sophomore Samantha Phelan (72-72-74) was Utah Tech's top finisher as posted her fourth top-five, and her fifth top-10, of the season with a solo fifth place showing at plus-2 218. Phelan set Utah Tech's 36-hole (144) and 54-hole (218) conference championship scoring records 

In addition, Phelan broke the Utah Tech single season scoring record with a 73.46 stroke average, shattering the previous record by nearly one full stroke (Grace Williams, 74.33; 2023-24), and moved atop the program's career stroke average list (75.27; 49 rounds). 
 
Phelan was a mainstay at the top of the leaderboard throughout the three days of play. The sophomore finished second in the 44-player field in par-5 scoring (-6/4.50), tied for seventh-overall in total birdies (9), and tied for 21^st in total pars (32). Meanwhile, Phelan was the first, and one of only six players in the field, to card an eagle over the 54-hole championship event.
 
Junior Jenna Anderson (71-75-84) and freshman Maria Purroy Galan (79-71-80) both tied for 29^th at plus-14 230, followed by sophomore Mia Cesarek (80-80-77) in solo 34^th at plus-21 237, and junior Jane Olson (83-80-76) finished t-35^th at plus-23 239. 

Utah Tech finished its fifth season of NCAA Division I play with four top-5 showings in nine team events, highlighted by a t-second place finish at the Utah Valley Wigwam Preview in February (2/2-4/25).
