Utah Tech slid one spot down to sixth place through 36 holes at the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships on Tuesday at the Wigwam Resort Gold Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
The Trailblazers (302-298-600; +24) improved by four shots during their second loop, combining to shoot a 10-over par 298, but were not able to gain any ground on the field on "Moving Day."
Tarleton State (294-283) remained atop the team leaderboard after firing a 5-under 283 to open up a seven shot lead at plus-1 577. Abilene Christian, which was tied with Utah Tech after Monday's opening round, posted the low round of the tournament thus far with a 6-under 282 to vault into solo second place at plus-8 584.

UT Arlington (298-298) fell back on spot to third at plus-17 593, one shot clear of fourth place Grand Canyon (299-295-594; +18), while California Baptist (295-304-297; +23) is one stroke ahead of the Blazers in fifth place.
Seattle U (304-299) is three shots back of Utah Tech in seventh at plus-27 603, followed by Utah Valley in eighth (319-294-613; +37) and Southern Utah in ninth (315-315-630; +54). Â

Sophomore
Samantha Phelan and junior
Jenna Anderson remained in the top-10 on the player leaderboard after the end of play on day two.

Phelan (72-72) penciled in four birdies on her scorecard on Tuesday en route to her second-straight even par 72, as she remained in t-fifth place at 144. The sophomore's 144 score broke a school record for lowest 36-hole score at a conference championship.Â

Anderson (71-75) was also at even par through her first 16 holes on Tuesday with three total birdies. Unfortunately the junior ran into some bad luck over her final two holes as she finished at 3-over 75 to join three others tied for seventh at plus-2 146.
Freshman
Maria Purroy Galan (79-71) fired Utah Tech's low round on Tuesday with a 1-under 71 to move up nine spots to t-21
st place at plus-6 160. Purroy Gallan went out in 2-under 34 with a pair of birdies and seven pars, then picked up another birdie to begin her back nine and managed to par six of her final eight holes to close out her day. Purroy Galan's 71 on Tuesday also tied Anderson's first round 71 for the lowest 18 hole score at a conference championship in program history.Â

Sophomore
Mia Cesarek (80-80) also rolled in a pair of birdies on her front nine as part of a second-straight, eight-over 80 to stand tied for 33
rd at plus-16 160, and junior
Jane Olson (83-80) came away with a matching 80 on Tuesday with one birdie and is in solo 37
th at 19-over 163.Â
Utah Tech will tee it up in Wednesday's final round beginning at 8:50 a.m. (PT).Â
