Utah Tech posted four top-10 program all-time marks on the opening night of the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday night at the CRWC Natatorium in Houston, Texas.

The Trailblazers opened the meet with a seventh-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:28.94, which was second-fastest time in that event in school history.Â

Sophomore
Cera Mallory got Utah Tech off to a fast start as she clocked the second-fastest 200 free time in program history with an opening 1:48.98. Junior
Natalia Zmierczak, sophomore
Kaiya Lawson and senior
Paulina Sansores took it the rest of the way for the strong finish.Â

Utah Tech would later place seventh in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:43.20, which was the seventh-fastest time in program history. Sophomore
Mary Sims Cross covered the 50 back in a time of 25.92 (#6 all-time at Utah Tech), while sophomore
Grace Benson, freshman
Gabby Henry, and senior
Mandy Farnum closed out the race and the first night for the Blazers. Â

Day two of the WAC Championships will get underway at 9:30 a.m. (MT), with the preliminary heats in the 500-yard free. The final races for the second day will follow at 5 p.m. (MT).
