Utah Tech continues its 2026 fall schedule this weekend as the Trailblazers travel to sunny Malibu to swim at the annual Pepperdine Rodionoff Invitational.

The two-day meet will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Waves' Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool. The meet will begin each day at 11 a.m. (MT).
 
COACHING STAFF: Utah Tech alumnus Shawn King (Utah Tech, 2014) is his fourth season as head coach of the Trailblazer program. 
        Last season, King led the Trailblazers to a seventh place finish in their debut at the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) championships, at which Utah Tech came away with one podium finish, three school records, and several top-10 all-time marks.
        In his first season poolside at Utah Tech, he guided the team to its second fastest season in school history, breaking seven school records, while collecting three All-WAC honors. In addition, the Trailblazers combined to post 75% life best times in competed events during the season.
        Utah Tech also performed in the classroom, as the team earned 2024-25 CSCAA Division I Scholar All-America honors with a cumulative 3.62 GPA.
        Coach King is joined poolside by first-year assistant coach Justin Wright (Arizona, 2018). 

LAST TIME OUT: The Trailblazers got off to a strong start to the 2026-27 season nearly 20 total top-10 individual and relay finishes at the season-opening Colorado Mesa Intermountain Shootout, which took place last weekend in Grand Junction.

NEXT UP FOR THE TRAILBLAZERS: Utah Tech will enjoy a three-week break before heading north to the Wasatch Front for a pair of in-state dual meets. The Trailblazers will open the trip with a dual at Utah on Thursday, Nov. 5, followed by a dual meet one day later at BYU on Friday, Nov. 6.
