Utah Tech came away with a 27^th-place team finish at The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford and presented by Palo Alto Networks, which was played this past Thursday-through-Saturday at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

The Trailblazers opened the event with a 16-over par 296 to stand tied for 28^th on Thursday. Utah Tech bettered its score by one stroke in round two on Friday, carding a 15-over 295, before closing with a 9-over 289 on Saturday to finish at plus-40 880, one shot clear of TCU (300-299-282-881; +41), and one stroke back of USC (295-288-285-879; +39), which placed 26^th. 
 
Georgia (279-285-275-839; -1) fired the low round of the event, a final round 5-under 275 to vault past runner-up Utah (284-279-277-840; E) by one stroke to claim the team title. 
 
Sophomore Zach Felts was the top Trailblazer finisher as he joined two others tied for 43^rd at plus-4 214. After opening with a 4-over 74, Felts fired a 1-over 71 on his second loop, and he chased with Utah Tech's low round of the weekend, a 1-under 69, which vaulted him nine spots up the leaderboard. 
 
Fifth-year senior Tyler Jones, who finished t-fifth in the entire 168-player field in par-3 scoring (2.92), opened with a 2-over 72, then after a 6-over 76 on his second loop, he bounced back with a 71 to finish in a 12-way tie for 80^th at plus-9 219.
 
Freshman KJ Ofahengaue (75-72-76) wound up in a pack of eight golfers tied for 125^th at plus-13 223, followed by senior Camron Saunders (75-77-74) in t-145^th at plus-16 226, and sophomore Parker Reese (76-76-75) in t-149^th at plus-17 227. 

Utah Tech will close out the 2023-24 regular season with an appearance at the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate Invitational, which will be played on April 7-9, at Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara.
