Utah Tech wrapped up the 2025-26 season with a sixth place finish at the 2026, and final, Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships, which completed play on Wednesday at The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch Dye Course in McKinney, Texas.
 
After opening with rounds of 22-over par 310 and 4-over 292, the Trailblazers closed out their tournament run with a combined 14-over par 302 to finish with a three-round team score of plus-40 904. 
 
Tarleton State (298-288-290) rallied late to claim the WAC title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals with a final team score of plus-12 876. The Texans bested runner-up UT Arlington (292-296-289-877; +13) by one stroke, and finished four shots clear of third place Abilene Christian (295-296-289-880; +16).
 
California Baptist (302-293-289-884; +20) wound up in the middle of the pack in fourth place, followed by Utah Valley (303-294-292-889; +25) in fifth, Utah Tech, and Southern Utah (303-307-305-915; +51) in seventh. 
 
Freshman David Liechty (78-72-72) paced Utah Tech on Wednesday as he carded his second-straight even par 72 with three birdies on his way to a t-11th finish at plus-6 222.
 
Meanwhile a trio of Trailblazers wound up in a six-way tie for 23^rd place at plus-13 229. Sophomore Frank Miao (75-78-76) eagled all four of the par-5s on his final loop to post a 4-over 76. 
 
Redshirt junior Braden Anderson (82-71-76), who fired the team's lowest round of the Championships on Tuesday with a second-round 1-under 71, carded four more birdies on Wednesday as part a 76. Anderson tied Liechty for the team lead in total birdies with nine over the three days. 
 
Junior Ashton McArthur (75-76-78) rolled a pair of birdies on his back nine on Wednesday en route to a 6-over 78.
 
In addition, freshman Joe Zhou (84-73-80) penciled in one birdie on his scorecard and finished his first conference tourney appearance in solo 30^th at plus-21 237.

Utah Tech finished its sixth season of NCAA Division I play with six top-six showings in 10 team events, highlighted by a third finish at the Colorado State Ram Masters (9/11-12/25).
