Utah Tech fifth-year guard
Breaunna Gillen added one more accolade to her ever growing list of career achievements this past Saturday afternoon at Seattle U when she became the school's all-time scoring leader for both men's and women's basketball.
With her driving lay-in just 42 seconds into the third quarter, Gillen moved past former Trailblazer men's basketball player
Zach Robbins (1,470 pts; 2009-14) to vault to the top of the university's career points list.
Gillen, who broke the Utah Tech women's basketball scoring record earlier this season vs. California Baptist (12/6/23), now has 1,479 points to her credit as she heads down the final stretch of her storied career.
The 2023-24 WAC Preseason Player of the Year also stands as Utah Tech women's basketball's career leader in assists (518 – both M/W basketball career leader), triple-doubles (3 - both M/W basketball career leader), field goals made (562), field goals attempted (1,267), games played (115) and games started (92). Gillen is also second all-time in program history in free throws made (283) and attempted (389), and she is third all-time in both rebounding (560) and steals (123).
Gillen and the Trailblazers (15-11/9-6 WAC) return home for a crucial WAC showdown vs. UT Arlington this Saturday afternoon inside the Burns Arena at 1 p.m. (MT).
