Utah Tech came away with several solid marks on night two of the 2024 Trailblazer Invitational on Friday at the HPC Pool.

Through 24 events over the first two days of competition, the Trailblazers stand in seventh place in the team competition with 78.5 points. UC San Diego stands atop the 11-team leaderboard with 562.50 points, 127.50 points clear of second place Fresno State (435).Â

Utah Tech opened the evening session with the Blazer "A" team clocking the 10
th-fastest 200-yard medley relay time in program history with a 1:44.49. Sophomore
Mary Sims Cross set the pace with a 26.15 leg in the 50 backstroke, which was the eighth-fastest mark in school history.

In the individual events, sophomore
Cera Mallory won the "B" final in the 200 free with a time of 1:51.17 (#7 all-time at Utah Tech), while fellow sophomore
Grace Benson touched the wall first in the 100 breast "D" final in a season-best time of 1:04.85.

Meanwhile, Sims Cross placed fourth in the 100 back "A" final with a season-best time of 55.18, and freshman
Gabby Henry took second in the 100 fly "C" final with a personal best time of 55.96.Â
The final day of the Trailblazer Invitational will begin at 10 a.m., with several preliminary events, followed by the evening session at 5 p.m. Live streaming video of all Invitational events can be found at
