Utah Tech women's swimming opened the home portion of its 2024-25 schedule as hosts of the Trailblazer Invitational, which got underway with day one of competition on Thursday at the HPC Pool.

Utah Tech opened the evening session by posting a season-best 1:36.74 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

In the 500 free, sophomore
Cera Mallory placed sixth in the "A" final in a time of 5:01.14, while freshman
Allie Hayes won the "D" final in the 200 IM with a season-best time of 2:06.31. Senior
Mandy Farnum wrapped the individual events with an eighth-place time of 23.78 in the "A" final of the 50 free.

In the final event of day one, the 400 medley relay, the Blazers' "A" team clocked the eighth-fastest time in program history with a 3:46.87, with sophomore
Mary Sims Cross swimming a 55.00 flat in the 100-back opening leg.Â
