Utah Tech women's golf opens the 2023-24 season this upcoming Sunday-through-Tuesday, Sept. 10-12, at the Utah Valley Timpanogos Collegiate Classic. The three-day, 54-hole event will be played at the par-71, 6,143-yard Timpanogos Golf Club in Provo, Utah.

The 19-team tournament field will include the Trailblazers and fellow WAC members UVU, Southern Utah, Grand Canyon, Tarleton at UT Arlington, along with in-state foe Weber State. Teams from CSU Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Fresno State, Idaho, Idaho State, Lamar, Montana State, North Dakota State, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside round out the field. 

HEAD COACH LINDSEY STUCKI: Lindsey Stucki (Dixie State, 2007) begins her eighth season as head coach of the Trailblazer women's golf program. Last season, Stucki led the Trailblazers to six top-10 team finishes, highlighted by a third-place showing at their own UT/Café Zupas Inv'l, along with a seventh-place showing in their WAC Championships team debut.  
        During her tenure as Utah Tech head coach, Stucki has guided the Blazers to a runner-up Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team finish in 2019, and to consecutive fifth-place finishes at the Pacific West Conference Championships in 2017 and 2018. 
        Prior to her arrival at Utah Tech, she served as assistant golf professional at the Sand Hollow Golf Resort, and as an LPGA assistant teaching professional for the City of St. George. Stucki also spent two seasons on the coaching staff of the Hurricane High School girl's golf program, including a one-year stint as the Tigers' head coach in the 2010-11 season. 
        Stucki, who is an apprentice member of the LPGA T&CP, played collegiately at the University of Central Arkansas, where she helped lead the Bears to six-consecutive team tournament wins and a Gulf South Conference championship. 
 
THIS YEAR'S SQUAD: The Trailblazers return four players from their 2022-23 team, led by sophomore Brooke Gelinas, who played in all 10 team events in her debut collegiate season and led the team with a 76.52 stroke average. 
        Gelinas posted a team-high three top-five individual finishes, highlighted by a t-third showing at the NAU Red Rocks Inv'l (3/18-19/23), where she fired a collegiate career-low tying 1-under 215 over her three rounds. The sophomore also recorded a pair of t-fifth place finishes at both the Weber State Invite (9/19-20/22) and the UT Café Zupas Trailblazer Inv'l (2/13-14/23), and closed the year with three rounds of par of better overall.
        Senior Grace Williams is back for her final season after she enjoyed a solid 2022-23 campaign, during which she ranked third on the team in stroke average (77.76) and carded two par or better rounds.
        Utah Tech also welcomed back sophomores Corinne Lillywhite and Jane Olson, who both gained valuable experience in their collegiate rookie seasons. Lillywhite (80.03 stroke average) played in all 10 team events, as did Olson, who posted one top-10 (t-8^th – Utah Tech Café Zupas Inv'l), and finished fourth on the team in scoring average at 78.21 with one par or better round. 
        Coach Stucki also added three newcomers to this year's squad, including sophomore Green Bay transfer Jenna Anderson (Dousman, Wis.), and freshmen Mia Cesarek and Samantha Phelan.
        Heading into UVU's season-opening tourney, Williams, Olson, Phelan, Gelinas and Anderson will be the five who will tee it up for the Trailblazers. 

2023-24 EVENT SCHEDULE: Utah Tech will play in nine regular season events, including four tournaments this fall. Following the UVU Classic, the Trailblazers will return to northern Utah to play at the Big Sky 54 for IX Tournament on Sept. 25-26, at TalonsCove Golf Course in Saratoga Springs.
        The Trailblazers will also tee it up at the Eastern Washington Eagle Inv'l in Spokane (Oct. 9-10), and will wrap up the fall season at the Charlotte Invitational at Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, N.C.  
        UT will open the 2024 spring season by hosting the Second-Annual Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational on Feb. 11-13, at Green Spring Golf Course. 
        The Blazers will play three of their final five season events in Arizona, starting at the Western Michigan Rio Verde Inv'l at the Rio Verde CC on Feb. 23-25, before returning home to play in the Southern Utah-hosted Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, which will be played on March 7-9 at Sunbrook Golf Course. 
        Utah Tech will then head back to the Southeast to play in the Georgia State Invitational on March 25-26, before closing the regular season at the Montana State Bobcat Desert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz. (April 8-10). 
        The 2024 Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships will be played April 18-21, at The Rim Golf Club in Payson, Ariz.
