Dixie State finished in the middle of the pack in ninth place at the California Baptist Lancer Joust, which was played on Monday and Tuesday at the Goose Creek Golf Club in Jurupa Valley, Calif.
The Trailblazers (296-297-305) found themselves in eighth place after both the first and second rounds on Monday, but were done in by their worst round of the event, a combined 21-over 305, to finish with a 54-hole score of plus-46 898.

Weber State (290-290-290-870; +18) vaulted past both runner-up Morehead State (290-294-296-880; +28) and host CBU (281-297-303-881; +29) on the final day to claim the team title.

Three Trailblazers closed the tourney in the top-30 on the player leaderboard, led by sophomore
Camron Saunders (73-70-78), who finished in a two-way tie for 21
st at plus-8 221. Saunders, who also tied for sixth in the 86-player field in birdies with 11 over his three rounds, posted DSU's low round of the event with a second round 1-under 70 on Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, sophomore
Aman Uddin (74-75-74) and senior
Spencer Wallace (74-75-74), who played as an individual, both tied for 28
th at plus-10 223. Junior
Davis Heslington (73-76-78) and sophomore
Josh Pehrson (76-76-75) followed in t-51
st at plus-14 227, and senior
Brock Nielson (80-77-81) wound up tied for 74
th at plus-25 238. Junior
Triston Gardner (75-75-76), who like Wallace was playing as an individual, finished t-44
th at plus-13 226.
Dixie State will return to southern California to play in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, which will be held March 2-4, at The Classic Club in Palm Desert.
