Dixie State closed out the fall portion of its 2021-22 schedule with a 12
th-place finish at the Pacific-hosted Visit Stockton Invitational, which wrapped up play on Saturday at the Stockton Country Club.
The Trailblazers opened tournament play with a 3-over par 287 on Thursday, then battled through the rain drops on Friday to post their lowest round of the event, a 1-over 285. DSU followed that up with a 7-over 291 on its final loop to finish the tourney at plus-11 863.
Washington State (268-274-274-816; -36) blistered the course over the three days, but had to hold off a final round charge from St. Mary's (272-277-268-817; -35) to claim the team crown by just one stroke.

Senior
Spencer Wallace paced the Trailblazers over the three days, which started for him with a 2-under 69 on Thursday. The senior went on to fire an even-par 71 on Friday and a 3-over 74 on his final loop to finish tied with seven others for 41
st at plus-1 214.
Sophomore
Josh Pehrson (76-68-73) followed in t-57
th at plus-4 217, which included a collegiate career-low round of 68 (minus-3) during Friday's second round. Meanwhile, junior
Davis Heslington (74-78-69) tied for 70
th at plus-8 221, highlighted by a 2-under 69 on Saturday.
Sophomore
Camron Saunders (74-76-75) wound up tied for 78
th at plus-12 225, and senior
Brock Nielson, who opened with back-to-back 1-under 70s on Thursday and Friday, had his final round disqualified on Saturday.
Dixie State will kick-off the 2022 spring schedule in St. George at the Southern Utah-hosted Pizza Hut/Pat Hicks Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Course on February 11-13.
