Biography

At Dixie State 2020-21 (COVID-Junior): Qualified for six of seven team spring events and finished t-first in the regular line-up in stroke average at 74.00 in 18 competitive rounds with a team-high seven rounds of par of better … opened the spring campaign going 72-72-71 (-1) to tie for 22nd-overall at the SUU Pat Hicks Inv’l (2/6-8) … also fired a 1-under 71 in the first round at the UCSB Collegiate (4/12), the final round at the BYU PING Cougar Classic (4/24), and the first round at the 2021 WAC Championships (4/30), where he finished a season-best t-14th-overall.

At Dixie State 2019-20 (Junior): Played in all seven team events in a season that was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic … led the team in scoring average at 72.57 in 21 competitive rounds with a team-best eight rounds of par of better and two individual top-five showings … finished t-second for the second-straight year at the NDNU Argonaut Inv’l with an even par 216, highlighted by an opening 4-under 68 … tied a career-low round with a second round 7-under 65 on his way to a t-fourth finish at the Western Washington Inv’l … was named RMAC Men’s Golf Player of the Week after the first two fall events of the year … fired rounds in the 60s four times overall.

At Dixie State 2018-19 (Sophomore): Earned second team all-RMAC honors and recorded a pair of top-10 showings in 11 starts in 2018-19, which included his second-straight conference runner-up finish at the RMAC Championships, where he carded back-to-back rounds of 7-under 65 (career-low) ... played his final 39 holes of the RMAC tournament in 14-under par with a combined 14 birdies and no bogeys, which helped him vault up from a tie for 16th after round one to a runner-up RMAC showing ... was also DSU’s top finisher at the 2019 NCAA D-II National Championships as he tied for 21st place to help guide DSU to a ninth-place team finish ... tied for fourth at the NCAA D-II South Central/West Regional ... played in 11 of 12 total season events overall and wound up third on the team with a 73.19 scoring average in 32 competitive rounds with 14 rounds of par or better.

At Dixie State 2017-18 (Freshman): Earned PacWest Freshman of the Year, third team all-conference and PacWest all-tournament honors after a runner-up finish at PacWest Championships … was the clubhouse leader through two rounds at the PWC tourney after firing the low round of the tournament with a season-best 5-under 67 in the second round … also finished second at the DSU Island Invitational (10/23-24), which Dixie State also won, and placed 10th in his first collegiate tournament at the Saint Martin’s Men’s Inv’l (9/23-23) … was one of three players to tee it up in all 10 of DSU’s events and recorded four top-15 individual finishes overall … posted a 75.00 scoring average in 29 competitive rounds and finished third on the team with nine rounds of par or better.

At Layton High School: Earned four varsity golf letters for the Lancers and was a region co-medalist as a junior and region runner-up as a senior … posted two top-25 Utah 5A individual finishes, highlighted by a t-19th showing in 2015 … also won the 2016 UJGA Utah Junior Open title and posted a runner-up finish at the 2016 Utah State Junior Amateur Championships.

Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah … parents are Jason and Jacinta Wallace … favorite team is the Cleveland Cavaliers … also recruited by Utah and Southern Utah ... currently majoring in communication.

Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I love the weather. St. George has great golf courses and I like what Coach Sutterfield is doing with the golf program.”
