Billie Hatch wins 10K at RMAC Championships

(FULL SATURDAY TRACK RESULTS)

Dixie State women's track sophomore Billie Hatch continued her phenomenal season on Saturday, winning the 10,000m (10K) race at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Just one week after shattering the DSU 10K record, Hatch posted the top time at the RMAC Championships, winning the race with a time of 36:01.15 to mark the first event victory at a conference championship meet in program history.

Two other Trailblazers set personal-best marks on DSU's first day of competition. Freshman Abbee Smith set a new personal-best with a time of 1:02.54 in the 400m, while sophomore Erin Hurst shaved nearly 30 seconds off her time in the 3,000m steeplechase. Hurst crossed the line with a time of 12:19.40 for a new personal-best in the event.

Dixie State saw one relay team qualify for the finals, as Rebecca Anderson, Smith, Jada Edwards, and Rachael Reeder posted a qualifying time of 50.77 in the 4x100.

The Trailblazers will wrap up competition at the RMAC Championships on Sunday.
