First year Utah Tech head women's basketball coach Adam Wardenburg announced on Friday the addition of former San Diego State post player Aubrey Cook to a financial aid agreement ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Cook played for the Aztecs' program for one season and has three years of eligibility remaining.

"Aubrey is a big addition to our team! She comes from a winning program and knows what it takes for us to compete for Big Sky championships from day one," Coach Wardenburg said. "We can't wait to work with her as we have high expectations for her from the beginning. She will be a force for us inside!"

Cook (6-4; Parker, Colo.) saw limited time in five games as a true freshman at SDSU this past season and was part of an Aztec program that advanced on to the quarterfinal round of the 2026 WBIT. She scored her first collegiate point in a home victory over San Jose State back on Jan. 26.

Cook was a four-year letter winner in basketball at Legend High School in Parker, Colo., where she ended her prep career second all-time in school history in career field goal percentage (.500).

She helped lead the Titans to a 2024 Continental League title and to a pair of Colorado 5A state final four appearances, including a state runner-up finish during her senior season in 2025. In addition, Cook lettered in volleyball, soccer and softball, and was an honor roll student.
