Utah Tech Athletics announced its full 12-game 2026 football schedule on Tuesday afternoon, including its nine-game Big Sky Conference debut slate.
The Trailblazers' 2026 schedule features five home games at Greater Zion Stadium and seven road dates, and includes 11 total games against Big Sky opponents, and one match-up against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in-state power.
Utah Tech will make its season and Big Sky debut at home against Montana State on Saturday, August 29. The Blazers will kick-off their seven-game road schedule one week later with a quick drive north on Interstate 15 to Provo to play at Big 12 member BYU on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The Blazers continue the non-conference portion of their schedule with back-to-back games against two more Big Sky members that were previously scheduled before Utah Tech joined the league.
Utah Tech will travel to Missoula to face Montana on Saturday, Sept. 12, before returning home to host Northern Arizona on Saturday, Sept. 19.
From there, the Trailblazers return to conference action by playing three of their next four Big Sky games on the road, starting with a trip to Greeley to play at Northern Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Utah Tech will then gear up for their annual "Battle For The Axe" showdown vs. in-state rival Southern Utah (10/3) at Greater Zion Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 3. Â
The Trailblazers follow that up with road games at Portland State (Oct. 10) and Cal Poly (Oct. 24), which bookend the team's bye week (Oct. 17), before closing out October with a Halloween home game vs. Idaho State (Oct. 31).Â
Utah Tech heads to California one week later for a road date at UC Davis on Saturday, Nov. 7, and will host Eastern Washington in its 2026 home finale on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The Trailblazers will then wrap up the regular season in Ogden with an in-state Big Sky showdown with Weber State on Saturday, Nov. 21.Â
