(Arlington, Texas - Oct. 14, 2025) – Utah Tech men's soccer garnered two WAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors, the Western Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday. Sophomore forward
Taylor Rogers was named WAC Offensive Player of the Week, and freshman goalkeeper
Luca Campoli was tabbed WAC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Rogers and Campoli earned Utah Tech's fourth and fifth WAC men's soccer weekly honors this season. The awards are Rogers' second career selection and Campoli's first career nod.
Rogers totaled two goals and two assists, helping UT to wins over San José State, 3-1, and Air Force, 4-0, last week. Against the Spartans, Rogers assisted on the opening goal, dishing a through ball to sophomore midfielder
Dunes Nielsen inside the box. Rogers scored the eventual game-winner in the 62nd minute, putting a left-footed shot past the Spartan goalie on the right side of the goal. It was his second game-winning goal of the season.
Facing the Falcons, Rogers assisted on the Trailblazers' third goal, setting up fifth-year defender
Colby Lee in the middle of the box. Rogers netted Utah Tech's fourth goal in the 89th minute. Freshman midfielder
Jacob Cinelli dealt a ball near the spot, and Rogers turned and blasted a right–footer into the back of the net.
Rogers leads the Trailblazers with 13 points and five goals, while tying for second on the team with three assists. He was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer Men's Team of the Week, which honors the top 11 performances in Division I soccer.
Campoli, a native of Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, recorded eight saves over two matches, allowing just one goal on a combined 34 shots faced. Campoli tallied a career-high five saves against SJSU, helping the Trailblazers to their first conference win.
Against Air Force, Campoli logged his second career solo clean sheet, shutting out Air Force with three saves. The GK picked up his first and second career wins with UT's results last week. Campoli has logged 17 saves, two shutouts and one combined shutout, with a 1.93 goals against average and .567 save percentage in seven games with six starts this year.
Rogers, Campoli and the rest of the Trailblazers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, at San Diego State in San Diego, California. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (MT) at SDSU Sports Deck, and the match will be broadcast on WAC International.
