(Arlington, Texas - Nov. 20, 2024) - Junior outside hitter Kennedi Knudsen and freshman middle blocker Lusia Langi earned All-WAC postseason honors, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Knudsen was tabbed First Team All-WAC while Langi earned All-WAC Freshman honors.

Knudsen has put together a historic season for the Trailblazers setting a new single season program record for kills with 379.

Ranking fourth in the WAC in kills, Knudsen also sits fourth in the conference in total attacks (992) and is fifth in kills per set (3.95).

In addition, the Gunnison, Utah native set a new single match mark for kills with 34 in a five-set win at home over Utah Valley on Nov. 2 and reached double figure kills in 13 WAC matches.

Leading or tied for the team lead in kills in 15 of 16 WAC contests, Knudsen totaled 15 or more kills in six matches and added 201 digs, 55 blocks, 19 assists and 11 service aces this season.

Langi played in 19 matches for the Trailblazers this season while appearing in 57 sets.

The Kyle, Texas native ranked fifth on the team in kills (55) and sixth in blocks (41.0).

Langi totaled a season-high 10 kills at UT Arlington on Oct. 19 and tallied a season-best six blocks at Southern Utah on Oct. 5.

Knudsen joins assistant coach Megan Treanor (Spring 2021) as the only other Trailblazer to earn All-WAC First Team honors while Langi is the third Blazer to earn All-WAC Freshman Team accolades joining Kate Hardy (Spring 2021, Fall 2021) and Adee Butler (2023).

Redshirt senior opposite hitter Hannah Howard and junior middle blocker Casidy Fried were two of seven other student-athletes who received All-WAC votes.

The Trailblazers open the WAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon against No. 5 seed California Baptist at 3 p.m. MT in Arlington, Texas.
