Montana answered with five straight points to get within 22-21, then tied the set at 23-23 before the Trailblazers reached set point on a Reese kill.

After the Grizzlies staved off a pair of set points by the Trailblazers and locked up the set at 26, UT closed out the set on consecutive Montana attack errors, with Reese and Fried combining on the final block for a 28-26 win.

With Montana jumping out to 9-7 lead to the second set, the Trailblazers went on a 7-3 run to jump ahead 14-12.

Two points for the Grizzlies tied the set at 14, but UT reeled off a 7-0 run to jump ahead 21-14 and after Montana cut the Blazers lead to five (22-17), UT finished out the set on an attack error, Reese kill and a Mya Laufiso ace for a 25-17 set win.

After Montana moved ahead 7-5 to start the third set, the Trailblazers used a service error & a Reese kill to pull even and added back-to-back kills by Treanor to make it 11-8.
